Network Administrator

Network Administrator

As a network administrator at DFL Importers you'll be responsible for maintaining the networks and systems that keep our organization running. From maintaining ironclad security to leading updates and training users, you'll be more than just IT support— you'll be the common thread that connects the dots between all organizational operations, Deep technological expertise and an understanding of a wide range of computer systems, hardware, and software are essential to your ability to excel in this role—and help drive our organization forward.

Objectives of this Role

  •     Assist in network design, implementation, and maintenance
  •     Provide network support across organizational operating systems
  •     Maintain stable and consistent connectivity across all network computers, and devices, this would include WIFI access points.
  •     Prepare, implements and monitor disaster procedures and recovery

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  •     Maintain network servers and associated hardware, software, services, and settings
  •     Recommend, test, and implement system and security upgrades
  •     Consistently monitor and troubleshoot network stability and performance
  •     Create, adjust, and maintain network user settings and permissions
  •     Write technical support documentation for network systems and applications
  •     Maintain IP PBX and its associated hardware
  •     Setup and Maintain Surveillance Systems, including offsite locations.
  •     Maintain computers on the network domain, update where necessary, get repaired where necessary.
  •     Monitor network internet connectivity, and recommend any changes needed, and implement.
  •     Maintain a network policy and disaster recovery policy, create backup and recovery policy.
  •     Maintain ERP system with regards to the network and backup; and assist users in training, reach out to the implementor overseas if additional suppott is needed.
  •     Work along with internal management in the addition or removal of new users in ERP system, their relevant permissions and user settings,
  •     Train users on internet security techniques, and email security techniques.
  •     Assist Finance Dept in Budgeting for any upgrades foreseen and necessary
  •     Any other task within the company that may need your valuable expertise.

Skills and Qualifications

  •       Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts and computing infrastructures
  •       Proven network engineering, operations, and performance analysis skills
  •       Experience with leading server management and monitoring tools
  •       Strong communication and education skills for training and assisting users

Preferred Qualifications

  •     Bachelor's degree in a computer or related field
  •     2+ years' experience in a network administration role
  •     Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019
  •     Experience with Cisco switches and routers
  •     Experience with Fortinet Firewall devices
  •     CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certification
  •     MCSE certification
