Nature-Based Solutions Projects Coordinator

Coastal Health Projects Coordinator for Jamaica, that will help lead and achieve strategy goals for a variety of coastal and marine projects.

What will be your main responsibilities?

• Implement, manage, monitor and evaluate Nature-Based Solutions Projects in Jamaica 

• In collaboration with local actors and partners, support the implementation of Iberostar’s restoration and protection projects that can include: Seagrass, mangroves, other coastal vegetation, fish/shellfish/invertebrates, water and beach quality. 

• Lead Iberostar’s multispecies coral restoration program.

• Support initiatives that help improve the capacity and livelihoods of local communities (with special emphasis on fishing communities).

• Help supervise consultants and partners, in coordination with the Nature-Based Solutions Manager,  providing guidance,  monitoring progress,  reviewing deliverables and making recommendations. 

• Collect high quality and consistent data on-shore, in-water and on boats as needed. 

• Supervise the newly created sustainability office and coral wet lab.

• Assist with managing and monitoring project budgets and any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time
