Coastal Health Projects Coordinator for Jamaica, that will help lead and achieve strategy goals for a variety of coastal and marine projects.
What will be your main responsibilities?
Implement, manage, monitor and evaluate Nature-Based Solutions Projects in Jamaica
In collaboration with local actors and partners, support the implementation of Iberostar’s restoration and protection projects that can include: Seagrass, mangroves, other coastal vegetation, fish/shellfish/invertebrates, water and beach quality.
Lead Iberostar’s multispecies coral restoration program.
Support initiatives that help improve the capacity and livelihoods of local communities (with special emphasis on fishing communities).
Help supervise consultants and partners, in coordination with the Nature-Based Solutions Manager, providing guidance, monitoring progress, reviewing deliverables and making recommendations.
Collect high quality and consistent data on-shore, in-water and on boats as needed.
Supervise the newly created sustainability office and coral wet lab.
Assist with managing and monitoring project budgets and any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time
