Surveillance Officer- Job Description

 Job Summary

 The Surveillance Officer monitors, records, and analyzes activities on company premises or in specific areas using CCTV and electronic security systems and is responsible for protecting the company’s assets and the safety of guests and staff through the operation and monitoring of the surveillance systems. The Officer evaluates all employee activities; reports all infractions and suspicious activities and report suspicious behavior to management or law enforcement to ensure safety, as well as  store events in surveillance archive.

 Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • System Monitoring.

  • Asset Protection
  • Monitor for compliance with security policies, regulations, and, in gaming industries, specific gaming regulations.
  • Coordinate with security personnel, management, and law enforcement during emergencies.
  • Ensure surveillance equipment is functioning properly and report faults. 
  • Operates facility surveillance systems in accordance with the requisite standards
  • Monitors all security and employee areas to ensure conduct of all postal operations is in accordance with the Department’s policies and procedures as well as those established by the company and its policies
  • Sound knowledge of basic law enforcement organizations, activities, terminologies and regulations;
  • Sound knowledge of Surveillance Systems;
  •  Good written and oral communication skills

 Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant certification in CCTV Systems or other surveillance systems a plus.
  • Five (5) CSEC subjects at the general level with grades 1-3/GCE O’ Level subjects grades A-C including Mathematics/numeric subject and English Language.
  • Prior security or surveillance experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and monitoring software.
  • Strong observational skills, attention to detail, high ethical standards, and ability to act discreetly. 

 

Front Office Agent- Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Welcome guests upon arrival and present a positive image of the hotel
  • Perform check-in and check-out and assign rooms
  • Register guests by collecting all necessary information, such as contact details, arrival and check out dates as it relates to their stay 
  • Manage phone and online reservations
  • Provide information about the hotel, rooms availability, rates and amenities
  • Inform guests about the payment methods
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
  • Respond to customer queries in a professional manner
  • Liaise with the housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are ready to accommodate guests
  • Handling end-of-day bookkeeping, auditing and account reconciliation
  • Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts 
  • Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts
  • Any other relevant duty assigned 

  QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • First Degree or Associates in Hotel and Tourism Management or similar, or equivalent technical certification
  • 1 year experience as a Front Desk Agent   
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

  KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Good knowledge of RDP software or similar hotel property management system, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of the tourism and hospitality industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills and detailed oriented  
  • Ability to be calm and efficient under pressure
  • May be required to work flexible or extended hours
  • Standing for many hours and handling challenging situations   
  • Spend several hours planning for major events and ensuring that everything goes well   

Cleaning Attendant/ Host- Gaming- Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Three (3) CXC subjects including English Language
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Able to use a variety of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Available to work mornings and evenings, plus weekends, as needed.

 

Housekeeper/ Houseman- Job Requirements

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate or the National Vocational Qualification of Jamaica (NVQJ) level 1 in Housekeeping
  • One (1) year working experience in a similar capacity

 

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • Good time management and communication skills 
  • Ability to demonstrate a professional, warm, and welcoming demeanour to all guests and employees  
  • Strong ability to pay attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of how to use industrial cleaning equipment
  • Good knowledge of sanitation and applicable regulations and use of industrial chemicals
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
  • Requirements to be hands on and physically check various areas
