Motor Vehicle Operator – Driver

Job Overview

A reputable organization is seeking a responsible and professional Motor Vehicle Operator – Driver to safely transport vehicles, customers, and packages to designated locations. The successful candidate will ensure all assigned vehicles are operated responsibly, maintained in accordance with established safety standards, and delivered to agreed destinations in a timely and reliable manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport customers, staff, vehicles, and packages to designated locations in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct pre-drive vehicle inspections and complete required vehicle checklists to ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standards.
• Adhere to Journey Management and road safety practices during all driving assignments.
• Collaborate with the operations team to support vehicle inspections, maintenance coordination, and readiness for operational use.
• Assist with transport-related activities to ensure vehicles remain in appropriate condition for operational requirements.
• Comply with all Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) standards and support the organization’s safety culture.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Perform additional duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum three (3) CXC / O’Level passes, including Mathematics and English.
• Minimum three (3) years’ driving experience with a valid driving permit.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles (mandatory).
• Good knowledge of geographic locations across Trinidad and Tobago.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to identify basic vehicle issues and report them appropriately.
• Experience in customer service and basic computer use will be considered an asset.
• Class 4 and Class 6 permits and possession of a Taxi Badge will be an asset.
• A valid Police Certificate of Character is required.
