This is an independent route-sales professional who represents the clients's full product range to grocery, convenience-store, and food-service accounts. You will grow territory volume, protect product freshness, and uphold the company's brand image through exemplary customer service and merchandising.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Route (compound)
Sign in at 6:00 AM, ready for dispatch before 7:00 AM.
Ensure Sales Assistant inspects the rear of the vehicle and that stock is arranged for quick identification and accurate counts.
Verify that promotional posters, invoice books, calculator, and other next-day supplies are in the truck.
Selling & Customer Service
Provide reliable weekly service on the assigned route, soliciting new customers and upselling the full product line.
Conduct first sales on a cash basis unless credit terms are pre-approved by the Area Manager; keep receivables within agreed terms.
Monitor each outlet's stock movement; transfer slow-moving items before they approach staleness.
Merchandise racks and stands, and install or refresh Kiss Baking posters at every call.
Demonstrate courtesy at all times, especially with difficult customers.
Vehicle Operation & Safety
Hold a valid General driver's licence and maintain a clean driving record (minimum two years' route-driving experience).
Drive carefully, lock the vehicle while taking orders, and comply with outlet security rules.
In the event of an accident or robbery, complete a complaint form upon return and submit it to the Area Manager.
