Responsible for monitoring, organizing and coordinating the department’s productivity to achieve sales goals and objectives.
Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, the Merchandising Supervisor is responsible for:
- Supporting sales improvement, planning and the implementation of sales strategies
- Preparing sales reports as they are required to determine the movement of articles that need to be replenished and understand market penetration
- Managing availability of products, replacements, discounts, changes and updating of prices in coordination with the Receiving and Buying departments
- Analyzing work methods and distribution to eliminate idle time and maximize employee’s productivity and ensure appropriate levels of staffing
- Ensure that changes on prices of products have been made
- Coordinating with the Receiving Department the delivery of merchandise, returned merchandise and bar codes.
- Controlling inventory and efficiently manage direct reports
- Understand and control the inventory of products in the Club, ensuring compliance with "first in-first out” (FIFO) rule.Verify that all computers and displays are shut down before the closing of the club
- Monitor forklift activities for Bin-Tags update and receiving Pull-out/Transfers
- Monitor industry prices and report the findings.
- Minimum two (2) years of university-based studies in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Electronics or similar areas. First Degree preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the retail environment.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and AS400
