The incumbent is responsible for promoting and selling the Company’s products to the target Customers with the view of achieving the objectives of the Division.

Bryden pi Ltd, one of the leading channel-focused distributors of Consumer, Health and Personal Care products in Trinidad and Tobago is on the lookout for the ideal candidate to join our unique family in the position of Medical Representative within the Hospital Equipment and Supplies Division.

Some Main Responsibilities include: 

  • Arrange appointments with doctors and hospital medical teams, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular 'cold' calling/visits.
  • Make presentations and offer training to Doctors, Allied Health Care Workers in private practice, Medical Clinics, Hospitals. Presentations may take place in medical settings during the day, or may be conducted in the evenings at a local venue.
  • Organize conferences for doctors and other medical staff.
  • Participate in conferences, seminar and workshops.
  • Attain (and if possible exceeding) annual sales targets.
  • Plan work schedules with weekly and monthly timetables. This involves working with your suppliers and discussing future targets with the area sales manager.
  • Prepare and submit written field activity reports as required, which accounts for customer visits and key medical marketing trade information gathered.
  • Regularly attend Company meetings, technical data presentations and briefings.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest clinical data supplied by the Company and supplier, and interpret, present and discuss this data with health professionals during presentations.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity and competitors' products.
  • Maintain knowledge of new developments in the Radiology field, anticipate potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapt strategy accordingly.
  • Develop strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and healthcare sector.
  • Stay informed about the activities of health services in the Radiology market and its related areas.
  • Perform other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company

Qualification, Experience and Requirement:

  • Minimum of tertiary level qualifications in Medical Sciences or related fields
  • At least 2 years experience in the health industry, preferably in Medical Sales/Marketing.
  • Or relevant combination of training and experience
  • A valid Police Certificate of Good Character
  • Must have a vehicle in proper working condition
