The Medical Field Services Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical equipment at an assigned healthcare facility/install base.
This role requires in-depth technical expertise to ensure the optimal functioning of devices such as imaging machines, diagnostic tools, and patient monitoring systems.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain timely and effective communication with customers and internal team members to ensure resolution and proper follow-up of issues, driving customer satisfaction
• Carry out brief familiarizations with clinical staff on designated equipment
• Execute service delivery processes in compliance with company policies
• Perform mechanical, electrical and control installation for assigned medical equipment.
• Plan and implement preventative maintenance, diagnosis, remedial repairs, and adjustments to the assigned medical systems to provide operational effectiveness and continuity of services
• Establish a good relationship with manufacturers or equipment support representatives to obtain support with resolving issues
• Ensuring the protection of the customer's, and the company's information while carrying out service duties.
• Ensuring service procedures are completed in accordance with the most current revision of service documentation.
• Identify and submit the request for equipment parts to facilitate repairs and the general service delivery in a timely manner
• Keep up to date and adhere to all company safety policies stipulated by the manufacturer of the designated equipment
• Consistently operate in hazardous environments while practicing proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other required safety protocols
• Complete required site documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Escalate on-site discrepancies to local and/ regional support where necessary
• Any other assigned duty
Job Specification:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electronic, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields with biological science capabilities.
• Three (3) years’ experience servicing electronic equipment
• Must own/operate a reliable motor vehicle
• Valid Driver's License (General is preferred)
• The successful candidate must possess a valid passport, a reputable character and is eligible to travel /apply to travel to the U.S.A. and other territories for formal training opportunities or other company related business
• Must be a team player
• Must be honest and operate with integrity on and off sites
• Must be an excellent communicator (both written and oral)
• Must demonstrate proficiency speaking Standard English
• Sound knowledge (both written and oral) of the Spanish proficiency would be an asset
• Must be flexible and willing to work above and beyond regular working hours and possibly on weekends (On Call)
• Must be hands on and possess the technical skillsets and know how to solve problems
• Any other assigned duty
Working Environment:
• Frequent travel to assigned job sites island wide
• Occasional office visit
• Exposure to hospital environment
External Contact:
• You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for healthcare providers, hospitals, and clinics, ensuring optimal performance of medical equipment. You will work directly with clients to provide on-site technical support, conduct routine maintenance checks, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
