Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Underwriting, Provider and Medical Examination Services team in the capacity of:
Medical Examination Services Associate
Perform administrative and clerical duties for the Medical Examination Services Unit and maintain exceptional client service and experience for internal and external clients.
Location: Kingston
As a Medical Examination Services Associate, you will:
- Schedule and confirm appointments to ensure efficient client flow at the facility.
- Screen and place telephone calls.
- Document medical and laboratory reports for submission to the Underwriting or New Business Departments.
- Respond to client’s concerns.
- Retrieve and affix policy numbers to all medical and laboratory reports.
- Compile and submit daily and monthly reports to the Assistant Manager.
- Prepare and maintain a list of clients who have defaulted their appointments.
- Coordinate the waiting area to ensure smooth flow of clients.
- Process and reconcile lab and doctor’s bills for submission to the Accounts Payables Department.
- Coordinate the orientation of new team members and assist with the training of the Relief Receptionist and the HEART Trainee.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports of the department’s activities.
- Assist with the administrative functions of the department.
- Maintain a proper record of all medical requirements.
- Organize departmental meetings and functions.
- Record and prepare minutes from unit meetings.
- Log medical requirements to the Paramed Client Management System (PCMS) and scan to P360 or the document repository.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or other related field from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of LOMA 1 and 2.
- Two (2) years’ work experience in a similar position.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Sound human relations and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
