Mechanical / Electrical Engineer

The Mechanical/Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the operation of the power station and equipment upkeep.

Mechanical/ Electrical Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• The daily power station equipment checks and record keeping.
• Carrying-out the mechanical and electrical maintenance required.
• Trouble shooting and rectifying problems in a timely manner.
• Keeping an inventory of the parts needed.  
• Power station operation and equipment upkeep.

Requirements:

• At least five (5) years’ experience in the relevant field and must be able to work independently or with little supervision.
• A minimum of An Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands on electrical and mechanical experience.
• High familiarity with 3500 series caterpillar, or similar engines. 
• Must be able to dismantle and reassemble diesel engines independently. 
• Accuracy and attention to details are critical.
• The ability to keep good records and organize routine maintenance.
• Class C Driver’s License.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to lead a team and have the right attitude.
• Demonstrate flexibility and able to work extended hours.
• Demonstrate supervisory qualities.
• Administrative ability will be an asset.
• Power station operation and controls will be an asset.
