Mechanic III

The incumbent is responsible for assembling, maintaining and repairing equipment, machinery, etc and for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines and mechanical systems.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Builds and assembles machines or mechanical components according to requirements
• Inspects machines, engines, jacks etc. and runs diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
• Conducts repairs aiming for maximum reliability
• Troubleshoots reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
• Performs thorough maintenance on equipment and systems
• Cleans and applies lubricants to machinery components
• Replenishes fluids and components of engines and machinery
• Provides consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine/equipment users
• Undertakes other duties as assigned.
• Keeps logs of work and report on issues.
• Drives Rig to and from to execute work-over operations.
• Complies with the PTW system and checks that only authorized work is being carried out and that JSA have been conducted

Monitors and verifies that all safety equipment on location is inspected, certified, tested and documented. Reports same if not in compliance.

The job holder must have:

• Minimum of three (3) CXC level passes (including Mathematics and English Language).
• Technical Diploma/Certificates (Mechanical) from a recognized body (UTT, NESC etc.). Minimum 7 years' experience in mechanical rig repairs and maintenance.
• Possesses a valid Trinidad and Tobago Class 5 driver's license with a minimum three (3) years driving experience.
• Certificate in First Aid and CPR training would be an asset.
