Responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products to company standards while ensuring quality, freshness, and food safety.

MEAT CUTTER

A leading supermarket chain is seeking to recruit young and dynamic candidates to fill the position of Meat Cutter in Ocho Rios, Kingston, St, Catherine.

 Job Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ experience as a meat cutter.
• School leaving certificate.
• Ability to cut different meats, weigh, package, price and rotate products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. to a 4-foot height and push and pull fully loaded hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Ability to work for periods of up to 8-10 hours in 50-degree temperatures. 
• Able to have hands frequently exposed to 30 ^oF while handling products in display cases.
• Ability to operate related equipment including - scales, wrapping machine, meat slicers, cutting knives, and hand trucks and keep accurate records.
• Ability to function as a team member and get along with others.
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours, bend, lift, squat, and stretch.
