Materials Inspection Supervisor

The Quality Assurance Materials Inspection Supervisor at Blue Waters Products Limited is responsible for maintaining the high standards of quality for all the company’s products.

This role involves leading a team that verifies the quality of incoming raw materials to ensure they meet established specifications, enabling the production of goods at the highest level of efficiency.

Responsibilities:

· Oversee and ensure the Technicians conduct inspections as required in accordance to the Quality Monitoring Scheme (QMS), HACCP, and Quality Systems.

· Monitor, analyze, and make recommendations to reduce downtime due to defective raw materials and material wastage based on Cp and CpK data.

· Liaise with Supply Chain on upcoming new raw materials for testing.

· Coordinate the testing of new raw materials with Planning, Production, QA, PSU, and Maintenance departments.

· Document the performance of the new material, conduct data analysis to identify trends as required, and prepare a report on the suitability of the material for use in Production Operations.

· Review and Update the relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instruction for QA Lab Raw material processes, for equipment and product specifications as it relates to Suppliers, Supply Chain, OEM, etc.

· Prepare for internal, external, and certification audits (FSSC 22000, AIB, NSF/IBWA, etc)

· Maintain audit documentation and ensure SOPs reflect latest regulatory and compliance updates.

· Lead mock audits and gap assessments to ensure continuous compliance in the area of Raw Materials.

· Coordinate management review inputs for quality performance and risks.

Requirements:

· Minimum of a BSc. in Science or Engineering

· At least 3 years’ experience in the field of Raw Material inspection/testing in the food industry

· Metrology experience is preferred
