Basic Salary per annum: $4,826,892.00
OBJECTIVES/SUMMARY OF POSITION
Under the general direction of the Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Relations the Marketing and Events Coordinator is responsible for developing, executing, monitoring and evaluating strategic marketing initiatives; in order to support the Public Relations and Communications objectives of the Tourism Enhancement Fund.
KEY RESPONSIBILTY AREAS
- Develop comprehensive event strategies aligned with the Fund's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create event concepts that showcase tourism innovation and sustainability.
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering, logistics, and on-site execution.
- Manage event budgets effectively and ensure cost-efficiency in all event-related activities.
- Oversee event timelines and deliverables to ensure seamless execution and vendor management.
- Assist with promoting and marketing events by suggesting marketing strategies and event collateral, utilizing social media and online platforms, and coordinating with public relations and marketing teams.
- Handle registration and manage attendees, including ticketing, sending invitations, managing guest lists, and ensuring a seamless check-in process for special events.
- Event management (responsible for planning and ensuring the smooth running of events) and protocols observation (Robing, VIP, crowd control etc).
- Identify potential risks associated with events and develop risk mitigation strategies to proactively address challenges and ensure the safety and success of all participants.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to measure the success of each event against predefined KPIs, preparing comprehensive reports with key insights and recommendations for future improvements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to align event messaging with overall organizational objectives.
- Any other assigned duties and responsibilities as required.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- To conceptualize, plan, and execute creative marketing events that align with the strategic objectives of the Tourism Enhancement Fund.
- To collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and successful implementation of marketing events.
- To develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- To oversee event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, and participant registration, to deliver high-quality events.
- To evaluate the success of marketing events through post-event analysis and reporting, providing insights for continual improvement and future planning.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Long hours of work and work on weekends, as necessary
- Out-of-town travel from time to time for event executions
- Indoor and outdoor working conditions
- Stand or sit for long hours during events
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in event planning, hospitality, or a related field, including hands-on experience managing large-scale events or projects.
- Working knowledge of the principles of events and facility management, services and equipment
