JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing & Sales Officer executes the Marketing & Sales function for the SuperPharm Brand. The incumbent will provide direction and feedback on events, regarding product distribution, budgeting, branding, marketing campaigns and sales. He/she will work with other key stakeholders to set the overall direction and objective for the product and service offerings ensuring alignment with the company’s core values, Accountability, Care and Trust.

JOB DUTIES

  • Assist the Marketing Manager in interpreting & developing market research and consumer insights.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Work closely with the Category Management team on product mix, as derived from the insights above.
  • Work alongside the Marketing Manager to develop a marketing calendar of activities built on consumer insights toward achievement of targets given.
  •  Work with the Marketing Team to ensure activities within the marketing calendar deliver expected ROI.
  • Ensure other income targets are met on a monthly and annual basis, with continuous innovations and contingency plans to arrest any shortfall in a timely manner.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, vendors and graphic artist to ensure other income assets are printed and installed in a timely manner.
  • Source quotations for the department and choose suppliers in accordance with the Company’s purchasing policy.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and timely submission of vendor invoices for all AP expenses to ensure vendor relationships are maintained.
  • Budget management, inclusive of data entry, forecasting and reconciliation.
  • Liaise with various departments (e.g., Category Management, Operations, Finance) to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Assist in developing and implementing of marketing strategies aligned with company goals. 
  • Track and analyse marketing campaign performance and report key metrics.
  • Support with trade shows, events, and promotional activities.
  • Qualify and convert leads into sales through effective communication and relationship building.
  • Conduct outreach to potential customers via phone calls, emails, and social media platforms.
  • Manage and maintain a strong customer relationship pipeline.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on marketing and sales activities alongside Social Media Coordinator.
  • Analyse marketing data and report on campaign performance (e.g., website, traffic lead generation).
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the Company. 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSc. Marketing, Business Management, or related field

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • At least 3-5 years’ work experience in a similar capacity.
  • Experience in Financial Analytics in relations to Marketing.
  • Experience in the retail industry will be considered an asset. 

SKILLSET REQUIRED:

  • In-depth knowledge of Marketing Strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of product.
