Continental Baking Company Limited is seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Marketing Manager to lead the Company’s end-to-end marketing function.

This senior leadership role is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing, brand and trade strategies that drive revenue growth, market penetration, brand equity and customer engagement across all channels.

Core Functions

Strategic Marketing & Brand Leadership

  • Develop and execute the Company’s overarching marketing and brand strategy, aligned with corporate growth objectives.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to Brand Managers to ensure cohesive brand positioning, portfolio optimization and strong market differentiation.
  • Translate consumer insights and market intelligence/data into actionable strategies that deliver top-line growth and bottom-line efficiency.
  • Lead annual marketing planning, budgeting, forecasting and ROI optimization initiatives.

Integrated Sales & Trade Marketing Alignment

  • Align marketing campaigns with route-to-market execution, trade promotions and merchandising initiatives to ensure seamless in-market delivery.
  • Partner with Sales & Distribution teams to optimize product visibility, retail execution, pricing strategies and promotional effectiveness.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives are synchronized with inventory flow, warehousing plans and supply chain forecasts to prevent stock-outs and maximize availability.
  • Oversee the successful launch of new products, store activations and customer penetration strategies.

Performance Management & Data Driven Decision Making

  • Establish and monitor KPIs across brand performance, campaign effectiveness, merchandising execution and customer engagement.
  • Utilize analytics and sales systems to assess trends, identify risks and opportunities and implement corrective action plans.

Creative & Communication Oversight

  • Provide strategic direction for brand identity, messaging, creative campaigns, digital presence and public relations initiatives.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints including packaging, advertising, digital platforms, events and retail environments.
  • Oversee agency relationships, media planning, influencer engagement and corporate communications.

Leadership, Culture & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, coach and develop the Marketing and brand teams, fostering a high-performance, innovative culture.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with relevant departments to ensure marketing strategies are operationally feasible and commercially sound.
  • Champion continuous improvement, digital transformation and process optimization across marketing and trade functions.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full adherence to Company policies, food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and brand governance protocols.
  • Support audit processes and implement corrective measures where required.
  • Promote ethical marketing practices and safeguard brand integrity across all channels.

Minimum Requirements: Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ progressive experience in FMCG marketing, with at least five (5) years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of trade marketing, route-to-market execution, merchandising strategy and customer engagement models.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive commercial performance.
  • Advanced analytical and financial acumen, including budget management and ROI analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data and identify trends, to make data - driven decisions regarding merchandising strategies.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Valid Food Handlers’ Permit and Driver’s Licence.
  • High professional, ethical and of integrity.
  • Required to work on weekends and public holidays, to meet operational demands.
