Marketing & Communications Officer
A business membership organization located in Kingston is seeking a Marketing & Communications Officer to enhance its visibility, connect with stakeholders, and execute strategic marketing and communication initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and driven professional with a passion for storytelling, digital engagement, and stakeholder relations in a vibrant business environment.
Develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies to support membership growth, sponsorship acquisition, and event promotion.
Secure sponsorships (cash, product, and service) for major events and initiatives.
Create compelling written, visual, and multimedia content for digital platforms, press releases, newsletters, speeches, and executive communications.
Manage the organization’s social media presence and digital campaigns, ensuring increased engagement and brand visibility.
Design branded materials for digital and print, and produce engaging video and photo content for events and promotions.
Leverage emerging tools, including artificial intelligence, to enhance content production and outreach.
Build and maintain relationships with media, sponsors, partners, and the wider business community.
Track and report on key marketing performance indicators, providing regular insights and recommendations to leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Proven success in securing sponsorships and managing partner relationships.
Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Expertise in digital marketing, campaign management, and content creation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey, and CRM tools.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent design/video editing software.
Familiarity with AI content creation tools (e.g., Runway ML, Pika, Kaiber).
Strong project management, organizational, and design skills.
Photography and videography experience would be an asset.
Knowledge of the Jamaican business and media landscape preferred.
