Summary: The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpretingmarketing data to provide actionable insights and recommendations. This role will play acrucial part in evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, understandingcustomer behaviours, identifying market trends, and supporting strategic marketinginitiatives to achieve business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Management:
- Gather and integrate data from various sources, including POS systems, online ordering platforms, loyalty programs, social media, website analytics, market research, and third-party data providers.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting tools.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns (e.g., promotions, digital advertising, local store marketing) against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, transactions, ticket average, customer acquisition, retention, and return on investment (ROI).
- Develop and maintain regular dashboards and reports for marketing leadership, highlighting key trends, opportunities, and challenges.
Customer Insights:
- Analyze customer data to understand purchasing patterns, preferences, demographics, and lifetime value.
- Segment customer bases to develop customised marketing efforts and personalize experiences.
- Identify opportunities for Guest engagement and loyalty program enhancements.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences within the QSR industry.
- Provide insights on market dynamics and their potential impact on business performance.
Strategic Recommendations:
- Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for marketing strategies, product development, pricing, and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize campaign performance and achieve business goals.
Forecasting & Budgeting Support:
- Assist in developing projections for ticket average, transactions and by extension sales for marketing campaigns and ecommerce platforms and marketing budget allocations based on data-driven insights.
A/B Testing & Optimization:
- Support the design and analysis of A/B tests for various marketing initiatives (e.g., ad creatives, landing pages, promotional offers) to identify optimal strategies.
Technology & Tools:
- Utilize analytics tools such as Google Analytics, social media analytics platforms, CRM systems, and business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau).
- Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis is essential.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 2-4 years of experience as a Marketing Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably within the retail, food service, or QSR industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas) is required.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) and social media analytics tools.
- Experience with CRM systems and POS data is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data in an understandable way to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
