Responsible for leading revenue growth through client acquisition, retention, and expansion of the Approved Retirement Scheme (ARS) and Approved Superannuation Funds (ASF)
Job Summary:
The role drives sales strategy execution focussing on promoting pension products, retirement solutions, and fund management services while ensuring compliance with regulatory and fiduciary standards. It also encompasses relationship‑management responsibilities, including driving high‑quality onboarding, enhancing client servicing, strengthening key stakeholder relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to operational and financial performance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow pension administration and fund management portfolios.
- Identify, prospect, and onboard new corporate, institutional and individual clients.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue goals, Lives Under Management (LUM) and asset-under-management (AUM) growth.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, trustees, institutional clients and key stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor on pension products, retirement planning, and fund performance.
- Coordinate client presentations, product pitches, and proposal submissions.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Lead efforts to streamline and improve sales and onboarding process.
Market & Product Knowledge
- Maintain deep understanding of pension regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor offerings, and investment performance.
- Provide market feedback to product development and investment teams to support innovation.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and fiduciary obligations.
- Support due diligence, KYC, and onboarding processes in collaboration with operations and compliance teams.
- Promote ethical sales practices and transparency in all client engagements.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Prepare regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and forecasts for management.
- Monitor performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Participate in budgeting, planning, and strategic sales initiatives.
- Update and maintain the risk register as appropriate
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
Five (5) years sales or business development experience in financial services, with a demonstrated track record of meeting revenue targets in a regulated environment.
At least 3 years’ experience in Pension Administration or Fund Management
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to interpret Pension Plan Documents (Trust Deed, Plan Rules, Governance Policies, etc)
- Knowledge of relevant Legislation - Pensions Act and attending Regulations, Income Tax Act,
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
