The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for researching and developing new business, creating and maintaining marketing strategies to achieve organizational objectives, and managing stakeholder relationships, as well as overseeing internal and external communications.

Job Summary: The position of Marketing & Communications Manager will be responsible for researching and developing new business, establishing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives. In addition, this position with be responsible for managing the organization`s stakeholder relationships as well as internal and external communications

 

Reports to:  Chief Executive Officer

 

Supervises:  Marketing Staff

 

Kev responsibilities:

  • Conceptualizes and implements strategies that would build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manages and coordinates all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
  • Conducts market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products
  • Improves public awareness of our company, its products and services
  • Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and projects for new and existing products and service
  • Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and projects for new and existing products and service
  • Develops company communications strategy based on the corporate strategic vision
  • Develop the VMCOTT brand to retain existing customers and attract new potential customers
  • Manages and coordinate all company events and activities

 

Key responsibilities cont'd:

  1. To maintain desirable Health and Safety Standards consistent with a comfortable and safe work environment
  2. To represent VMCOTT through presentations of its services to prospective and existing customers.
  3. To set performance standards for staff under supervision.
  4. To evaluate and appraise staff on performance on a continuous basis and develop performance improvement plans for staff under supervision.
  5. To perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

  10. Ability to make public presentations.
  11. Ability to coach, guide and mentor staff
  12. Ability to prepare contracts and requests for proposal.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. BSc Marketing or Mass Communication
  2. Post graduate degree in Marketing or Mass Communication will be an asset.
  3. A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a Marketing/ Mass Communication position at Managerial level
  4. Formal training in Project Management or other related area
  5. Computer literacy skills — Microsoft Office Suit and Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software.
  6. Possession of valid driver's license
  7. Equivalent combination of training and experience
