Job Summary

A foundation in Jamaica is inviting applications from suitably qualified individusls for the position of Manager, Human Resources.

The Manager, Human Resources will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the Human Resource and administrative functions of the organization. The role ensures compliance with established policies and procedures while supporting the organization in attracting, developing, and retaining a competent workforce aligned with its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Human Resource function, ensuring effective delivery of HR services
  • Direct and coordinate recruitment and selection processes to ensure adequate staffing
  • Provide guidance to management and staff on HR policies, procedures, and employment matters
  • Manage employee relations, including participation in negotiations and handling workplace issues
  • Oversee training and development programmes, including needs assessments and evaluation of effectiveness
  • Ensure implementation and monitoring of performance management systems
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and prepare reports for management
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, operational plans, and budgets
  • Promote staff welfare, career development, and succession planning initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety policies and relevant labour laws

Management & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficient operation of the office and administrative functions
  • Oversee records and information management systems
  • Coordinate meetings, office activities, and events
  • Maintain consistency in office policies, procedures, and practices

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • Certificate in Supervisory or Administrative Management
  • Minimum of three (3) to four (4) years’ relevant experience in Human Resource Management
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
