Are you a driven and detail-oriented professional with strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple priorities? We are seeking a Manager – Deals Management to oversee the coordination and execution of deals, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Manager-Deals Management is responsible for the execution of the Merchant Banking Unit’s deals and risk management activities by coordinating origination, structuring, syndication, and disbursement processes, ensuring compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and risk standards, while supporting revenue generation and protecting the Group’s interests
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare all requests for Origination and Securitisation transactions in line with approved MBU Origination and Securitisation policy and procedures. This includes conducting technical analysis on issuers/borrowers and their financial statements and ensuring compliance with KYC/AML, internal risk policies, and regulatory standards.
• Assist with structuring and syndication of all originated and securitised capital market deals generated to meet the complex needs of the Guardian Group and its clients.
• Oversee all disbursements of Originated Deals from the MBU, including review of legal documentation and coordination of settlement of funds with Syndication Team.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the Merchant Banking Associates as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients to drive business opportunities and ensure successful transaction execution.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• A First degree in Economics, Banking, Finance, Risk, or a related field from a reputable University.
• Minimum of Five (5) years’ progressive experience in the financial services industry specifically in investment banking, finance, accounting or risk management.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
As a regulated entity with obligations under the Know Your Employee guidelines, a Certificate of Character is required.
