ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position of Manager - Credit Administration for JN Bank Limited-Credit Administration Unit. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the operations of the Credit Administration Unit to ensure that the Unit operates within policies, standards and procedures of the Bank. He/she will be responsible for the preparation and disbursement of all Retail, Business and Development credit facilities while managing the maintenance of the entire documentation processes. The incumbent will also be responsible for all credit applications, credit support, control systems and other practices necessary to manage the outstanding risk assets of the Bank to normal repayment cycles and to properly and effectively monitor credit risk.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor the asset book to minimize loan loss

  • Oversee booking of loans and setting up of credit limits on accounts

  • Ensure compliance with organization policy, standards and practices

  • Identify key performance indicators and critical success factors for all processes and monitor these to ensure achievement of objectives and proactive risk management

  • Assist with the development of credit risk management policies and procedures as it relates to the loan portfolio

  • Review the delinquency monitoring functions that are performed by the Debt Management Unit to ensure effectiveness

  • Follow up on all delinquent accounts to ensure that corrective actions are taken to maintain the quality of the portfolio  

  • Renegotiate/restructure credit facilities as requested by members in line with regulatory and bank policies and guidelines

  • Identify the staffing needs for the department/unit, track staff movement and plan for staff changes and absences and engage employees

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • B.Sc. with seven (7) or more years relevant experience or Master’s with more than three (3) years’ experience

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in mortgage operations/processing

  • Minimum or five (5) year in a managerial position

  • Training in Supervisory Skills, project or change management
