MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • BSc Business Administration, Finance or any other related field
PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or Economics or Equivalent
CERTIFICATION
  • Securities Certification
  • Eligible for licensing by the Financial Services Commission

MINUMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Five (5) years' demonstrable record of achieving demanding goals and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven track record of successfully creating growth opportunities, managing the growth process from inception to completion and leading a team in a small to medium-sized organization
Functional/ Technical Skills
  • Ability to use and interpret organisational data systems to support planning and decision making
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in digital spaces
  • Ability to lead digital transformation initiatives
  • Experience with a collaborative workplace (shared digital tools and media collaborative projects and work across boundaries of teams, cultures and institutions).
  • Ability to use digital media to communicate within and beyond the organisation.
  • Experience in knowledge exchange and sharing practices
  • Detailed knowledge of financial markets locally and internationally and the ability to project and analyse the impact of market dynamics on investment portfolios.
  • Strong Selling skills with the ability to identify financial need, develop customized solutions,recommend and implement financial plans.
  • Strong Negotiating skills and the ability to clearly articulate and convince prospects of the benefits of the financial solutions being offered
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a sales/business development strategic vision designed to assist the company in the successful execution of its retail initiatives.
  • Communicate the overall strategic vision and obtains buy-in and ownership from the business development team.
  • Direct and provide leadership/ support/guidance to create a high performance service oriented work environment that support the company’s mission, vision, core values.
  • Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and the effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures
  • Manage and delegate the day to day operations from an administrative and a financial perspective including but not limited to hiring, termination and retention, policy administration, etc.
  • Assess and monitor work load, administrative and support systems and internal reporting relationships
  • Design, develop and implement/ recommend new business opportunities which are aligned to the company’s strategic objectives and which indicate the impact on revenue growth and risk exposure.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and review with the Deputy CEO.
  • Leverage internal talent to brainstorm/identify/develop large-scale ideas for improvements to our business development plan.
  • Engage in public relations activities that promote visibility and enhance the institution’s public image.
  • Represent the Company as a Signing Officer viz: -letters, cheques -authorization of bill payments
  • Provide support by sitting on required Committees to effect Organizational changes
  • Represent the Company at Social and other Community events.
  • Conduct Performance Appraisal for team members utilizing the Performance Management system
  • Negotiate competitive Interest Rates with customers
  • Prepare various reports on operations and sales activities
  • Ensure that information, to which access is granted, is handled in accordance with the Information Security (IS) Policy.
