Overview: Our client is a top diversified Caribbean conglomerate in search of a Mall Properties/Facilities Manager responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, safety, and physical management of mall properties. This role ensures that all facilities, systems, services, and operational processes support a safe, efficient, and high-quality environment for tenants and shoppers. The position supports the General Manager by managing the physical aspects of mall operations and resolving operational tenant issues.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Manage daily mall facilities operations, ensuring all building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
  • Conduct inspections, implement preventive maintenance, and coordinate timely repairs and corrective actions.
  • Oversee contractors and vendors across maintenance, cleaning, landscaping, waste, security, and operational services.
  • Maintain accurate facilities documentation, asset registers, maintenance logs, and compliance records.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, hygiene, and service excellence across the mall.
  • Coordinate maintenance, janitorial, security, and support teams to ensure mall readiness during trading hours and peak periods.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, environmental, and building regulations, and support emergency preparedness and response.
  • Provide operational support to tenants, enforce lease-related operational requirements, and communicate maintenance activities.
  • Prepare and manage facilities budgets, control costs, review vendor invoices, and recommend capital repairs and upgrades.
  • Lead and supervise operations staff, manage schedules, performance, and training needs.
  • Support mall events and promotions by coordinating operational logistics with Marketing/PR teams.
  • Prepare operational reports, track work orders, monitor KPIs, and provide updates to the General Manager.

 

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, Property Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in facilities management, property operations, or building maintenance supervision.
  • Experience supervising maintenance, security, cleaning, or operational teams.
  • Knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety).
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, including SHaW compliance.
  • Ability to manage preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate contractors and service providers.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Good communication and customer service abilities when interacting with tenants and team members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facility management or work-order systems.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies, work under pressure, and conduct physical inspections.
