We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Maitre D to oversee our food and beverage outlets. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and creative leader with a passion for exceptional guest service and a strong understanding of restaurant operations.

The Maitre D is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the restaurant floor, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining operational excellence. This role involves direct supervision of staff, adherence to service standards, inventory management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and sales.Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management:
    • Supervise the complete opening and closing procedures for all assigned food and beverage outlets, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and according to standards.
    • Oversee all food service operations, maintaining high-quality standards in presentation, service, and guest satisfaction.
    • Supervise and organize the proper "mise en place" for each service, ensuring all stations are fully stocked and prepared.
    • Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations and hotel operating procedures.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Supervise, motivate, and manage the performance of all restaurant staff, providing guidance and support.
    • Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to staff members to optimize workflow and service delivery.
    • Conduct comprehensive daily briefings to communicate important updates, service goals, and guest information.
    • Prepare and manage fortnightly employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient operations.
    • Conduct regular evaluations of team members, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for development.
    • Train staff according to the specific service styles and standards of each restaurant.
    • Verify that all personnel adhere to proper presentation and grooming standards.
  • Guest Relations:
    • Resolve all guest-related issues, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
    • Stay updated on the daily house count, group arrivals, VIPs, and online guest reviews to anticipate needs and personalize service.
  • Inventory & Financial Management:
    • Conduct regular inventories of wines, silverware, linen, and other accessories to prevent shortages and control costs.
    • Oversee stock levels and manage ordering supplies to maintain adequate inventory.
    • Actively promote and execute up-selling strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Knowledge & Standards:
    • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all menus, ingredients, and beverage offerings.
    • Enforce all hotel standards and operational procedures consistently.
  • Professional Attributes:
    • Demonstrate proactivity and creativity in problem-solving and service enhancement.
