Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to ensure the safe and reliable operation of all Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in the Company’s inventory by doing daily mechanical maintenance to remain in compliance with Government and Airport Operators Regulations.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To maintain and repair all Ground Support Equipment.

• To perform Daily Line Maintenance service on all Ground Support Equipment.

• Maintaining a proper record management system for tracking the status of each piece of equipment.

• Ensure the repair and maintenance of Ground Support Equipment.

• Prepares daily serviceability reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations where necessary.

• Establish and maintain a maintenance record management system to track the status of each piece of equipment. 

• Ensure compliance with all safety and security procedures of the company.

• Report safety and security breaches and submit reports where required.

• Preventive Maintenance Implementation- Developing and enforcing preventive maintenance schedules for GSE to minimize downtime.

• Diagnosing equipment problems and coordinating timely repairs or replacements.

• Comply with all safety and security procedures of the Company, Airlines, JCAA, Airport Operations, IATA and ICAO.

• To adhere to all safety standards and procedures.

ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Certification from an approved automotive training school along with CXC/GCE Certificates in four subjects inclusive of English and Mathematics.
• Three years on the job experience in the automotive repair field.
• Valid General Driver’s License.

• Knowledge of ICAO standards

• Strong problem-solving abilities and time management skills.

• High level of confidentiality and integrity.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; fluency in English is required, Spanish is an asset.
