Ensures that all equipment are functioning . Maintains the Preventative maintenance program to the maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities.

THIS POSITION IS OPEN ONLY TO NATIONALS OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO AND THOSE HOLDING VALID AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE COUNTRY AND LIVING IN THE COUNTRY AT THE PRESENT TIME. 


COMPENSATION: $6,500.00 

 

HOURS OF WORK: 8 AM TO 4.30 PM but candidate MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ON CALL ON A ROTATION BASIS OUTSIDE OF REGULAR HOURS

 

 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Equipment

 

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that factory equipment continue to operate efficiently

 

  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.

 

  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.

 

  • Clean and lubricate nipples, gears, and other parts of machinery.

 

  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.

 

  • Change bearings, meter rolls, aniloxes etc when necessary

 

Electrical

 

  • Performs basic electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cables

 

  • Repairs/replaces lighting systems as needed

 

  • Inspects electrical systems for unsafe conditions

 

General

 

  • Review daily log books and complete and signs all machine inspection forms after completion

 

  • Assist in training machine operators in correct maintenance procedures and use of accessories and tooling

 

  • Monitor machine operators to ensure correct maintenance procedures and use of equipment and tooling are followed

 

  • Maintain records of all maintenance equipment, tools and supplies

 

  • Identify and request parts to be ordered

 

  • Learn machines operational aspects

 

  • Contributes to the overall success of the Production Department by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

  • Project a healthy, pleasant and positive attitude, whether to your job, life or fellow-co-workers

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Secondary education (inclusive of Mathematics & English Language)

 

  • Electrical/Mechanical Diploma

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • 2-3years experience (an asset)

 

 

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

 

  • Must be able to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical/aptitude test

 

  • Must pass color vision and color hue tests

 

  • Ability to read and interpret documents

 

  • Ability to read and comprehend measurements on a ruler (metric/imperial)

 

  • Ability to communicate effectively, get along with coworkers and management

 

  • Analytical & Problem Solving ability

 

  • An eye for detail and accuracy with numbers are also primary.

 

  • Proven ability to work under pressure, multi tasking, together with the capacity to plan and prioritize workloads in order to meet deadlines

 

  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed
