At Bahama Blu Co. Ltd, the Maintenance Team Lead is a pivotal role that blends high-level technical expertise with hands-on leadership. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead production teams to optimize equipment performance and ensure plant operations run safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. 1.       Production Support and Leadership:
  • Supervise production staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance and production activities to achieve targets.
  • Organize equipment and maintenance training for production team members.
  • Lead and guide maintenance and production teams, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify areas for process improvement and support the implementation of solutions.
  • Ensure production data is collected and reported accurately.
  • Work closely with the production team to meet daily production targets and ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Provide support and assistance to fellow team members as needed.

 

  1. 2.        Maintenance Support:
  • Plan and execute maintenance activities using the preventive maintenance program.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment history.
  • Secure and account for tools and spare parts usage.
  • Execute scheduled tasks to prevent breakdowns and maintain peak performance.
  • Repair and replace components to minimize downtime and preserve quality standards.
  • Operate machinery, troubleshoot issues, and conduct repairs to ensure uninterrupted processes.
  • Monitor equipment performance and analyse data to identify potential issues and opportunities for optimization.

 

  1. 3.        Safety and Compliance:
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain and enforce established standards related to food and health safety.
  • Participate in safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.

 

  1. 4.        Project Assistance:
  • Support engineering projects, including equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Assist in coordinating with external vendors and contractors for specialized services.

 

  1. 5.        Quality Control:
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control team to conduct visual inspections, measurements, and product testing to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Report any deviations from quality specifications to the Production Supervisor

 

  1. 6.       Material Handling:
  • Assist in the handling and movement of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products as required for production.
  • Ensure that materials are readily available for the production process and maintain accurate inventory records.
  1. Ad Hoc Tasks:
    • Complete any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Operations/Maintenance Manager to support the production process.
