Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates the maintenance activities for all mobile vehicles and equipment, ensuring that all equipment and machinery operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks, assigning work orders and tracking completion.
• Inspect all mobile equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and equipment history.
• Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ordering supplies and parts as necessary.
• Coordinating with the Purchasing Department for timely ordering and delivery of parts and inventory.
• Upkeep of the computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required: associate or bachelor’s degree in a related computerized
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, commercial, or institutional setting.
• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) will be a plus.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Valid driver’s license.
•  Relevant certifications (e.g. electrical, mechanical) are a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Computer literate and knowledge of conducting On-Board Diagnostics (OBD).
