The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates the maintenance activities for all mobile vehicles and equipment, ensuring that all equipment and machinery operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks, assigning work orders and tracking completion.
Inspect all mobile equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize breakdowns.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects as needed.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and equipment history.
Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ordering supplies and parts as necessary.
Coordinating with the Purchasing Department for timely ordering and delivery of parts and inventory.
Upkeep of the computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required: associate or bachelor’s degree in a related computerized
5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, commercial, or institutional setting.
2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance or facilities management.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) will be a plus.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Valid driver’s license.
Relevant certifications (e.g. electrical, mechanical) are a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Computer literate and knowledge of conducting On-Board Diagnostics (OBD).
