The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for upholding the quality and standards of the organization and general maintenance of the facility.

OUR CLIENT, A MANUFACTURING COMPANY LOCATED IN CENTRAL TRINIDAD IS LOOKING FOR A MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR.
SALARY: $12K TO $15K
Job Purpose
1. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for upholding the quality and standards of the
organization and general maintenance of the facility. He/she is accountable for
executing administrative and organizational skills, ensuring all manufacturing assets,
managing maintenance budget and resources, overseeing installation, repairs and general
upkeep of the company’s facilities, and assisting in the design and installation of new
systems.
2. Responsible for the oversight of plant equipment functionality, calibration and
verification including the Critical Control Point (CCP-1 Metal Detector)
3. Complies with the Company’s Food Safety policies and guidelines as well as all Health
Safety and Environmental regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conducts regular inspections, ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of facility
is adequate to support the company’s operations,
2. Researches and develops a programme of preventative maintenance programme for all
equipment in the plant,
3. Establishes, implements, trains and monitors maintenance guidelines for the maintenance
teams, including safety on the job and preventative maintenance.
4. Ensure the proper working of all electrical units and systems in the facility.
5. Leads a team of subordinates and delegates work areas to them.
6. Ensures adequate records of day-to-day maintenance and services activities undertaken in
the facility.
7. Provides routine schedule and preventative maintenance, ensuring that the facilities and
equipment are maintained to ensure safe and optimum use.
8. Evaluates the performance of subordinates.
9. Ensures the compliance with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and
Health administrative rules (OSHA) while carrying out maintenance functions.
10. Places orders for spare parts and equipment for replacement and ascertaining proper
documentation.
11. Ensures compliance with FSQMS standards in conduct of duties.
12. Implements preventative maintenance throughout the building and its surrounding.
13. Determines maintenance work and repair required to keep property in good state of
repair.
14. Synchronizes work processes with other departments of the establishment.
15. Maintains a high level of safety in all duties.
16. 1Performs other related duties as may be required by management.
Experiences and Qualifications:
1. BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with experience in Facilities Management
will be an asset.
2. A certificate in Project Management or Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM)
would be an asset.
3. A minimum of five years’ experience, in a similar position or in the manufacturing
industry.
4. Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, welding and whole facility maintenance.
5. Experience in setting up and using a (CMMS) Computerized Maintenance Management
Systems.
6. Knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
7. In depth knowledge of the technical aspect of mechanical, electrical instrumentation,
automation and controls and plumbing systems.
8. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
