Ready to help build a world‑class Caribbean resort? We are looking for a skilled MEP Engineer to lead technical reviews, oversee on‑site execution, and help shape a landmark hospitality project in Montego Bay.
Are you a skilled Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineer ready to take the lead on a world‑class resort development?
Catalonia Montego Bay is seeking a dynamic MEP Engineer to play a pivotal role in the review, validation, and execution of major project phases for it's development property in Montego Bay.
Core Functions:
PROJECT PHASE:
- Reviewing and validation of executive project documentation; Control of technical and regulatory feasibility.
- Review of material execution bids; control of measurements and prices.
- Reviewing and validation of the execution schedule.
- Control of administrative procedures.
EXECUTION PHASE:
- Supervision and control of execution on site: ensuring that the work carried out corresponds to the approved project requirements, detection of deviations and proposal of technical solutions.
- Execution schedule control: monitoring schedule compliance and validating updates.
- Coordination between Project Management, Engineering and Main Contractor: daily coordination meetings , daily (not weekly) report to project management, monitoring of possible modifications to the project and follow-up of these modifications.
- Cost control and quality of materials.
- Acceptance of facilities: approval of work acceptance reports and verification of start-up tests.
- Control and management of facility documentation.
- Control of official regulatory inspections.
REQUIREMENT:
- Degree in mechanical, electrical or similar industrial engineering.
- Solid knowledge of the following installations:
- Medium and Low Voltage.
- HVAC systems.
- Sanitary Water.
- Wastewater
- AV/IT Systems.
- BMS control systems.
- Experience in the execution of large-scale hotel resorts, minimum 5-7 years.
- Knowledge of local and American standards. (NFPA…)
- Knowledge of Marriott standards (MEP, FA&LS…)
- Fluent English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (MSWORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, etc.)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
