MEDICAL PROJECTS COORDINATOR
The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the Office of the Medical Chief of Staff (MCOS), to provide administrative, regulatory, policy, clinical and statistical support.
Main Responsibilities
- Plans, organises, and coordinates medical programs and events in conjunction with Corporate Communication Department and the various Medical Departments.
- Coordinates and manages new and ongoing medical projects and project logistics; establishes overall work plans and staffing plans for the programme; directs the recruitment and assignment of programme personnel; supervises the project teams assigned to the programme.
- Monitors and manages programme quality to ensure the deliverables are in compliance with agreed standards.
- Performs programme post-implementation activities such as soliciting feedback from stakeholders, preparing reports and archiving information.
- Prepares or participates in the creation and/or revision of standard operating procedures for medical departments in conjunction with the Head of the Department and Medical Chief of Staff
- Directs and coordinates developing and implementing contingency plans for medical services within the complex.
- Works with departmental heads in identifying opportunities to improve and reorganise processes.
- Provides clinical oversight of patients and processes under the office of the MCOS, including but not limited to the generation of reports
- Responsible for planning and conducting individual/group training sessions for the implementation of projects.
- Performs clinical duties when required under the scope of the Medical Chief of Staff
- Ensures that any issues that arise during normal daily activities are resolved or escalated to the appropriate person.
- Assists in providing quality control and review functions in the operations under the MCOS office, ensuring that these processes are fluidly conducted to completion.
- Identifies gaps in the policy, clinical care, regulation and staffing of the complex and assistance in creating solutions for addressing them
- Collects, analyses and manages data pertaining to processes at the complex of concern to the office of the MCOS and the use of this as evidence to guide policy, protocols, and resource management
- Reviews of planned and in progress projects, including research, to identify and troubleshoot items of concern to the MCOS and the complex
- Creates, presents and publishes results of data review of projects
- Performs any other duties as required under the office of the Medical Chief of staff.
Minimum Qualification, Requirements and Experience:
- Undergraduate Medical Degree or equivalent greater than three (3) years.
- Master’s Degree in Public Health or Business Administration will be an asset.
- Any combination of relevant qualification and experience may be considered
