Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the growth and positioning of assigned brands across export markets through strategic brand building, business development and in-depth market expertise. This role drives sustainable sales and profit growth by shaping brand strategies, developing new markets, managing key distributors and principal relationships and leveraging market intelligence to deliver competitive advantages. 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Leads market-specific brand positioning strategies in collaboration with brand owners and marketing teams.
  2. Develops and executes market entry and channel development strategies that deliver sustainable growth.
  3. Recommends portfolio adjustments, pricing strategies and promotional priorities based on market trends and competitor analysis.
  4. Manages principal relationships and acts as Brand Ambassador for assigned brands, overseeing joint business plans and quarterly business reviews.
  5. Supports distributors in achieving in-store execution standards, brand visibility and trade activation objectives.
  6. Ensures effective collaboration with demand planning to maintain optimal stock levels and mitigate supply risks.
  7. Prepares sales budgets, A&P plans and market forecasts aligned with corporate objectives.
  8. Reports regularly on sales performance, profitability and market intelligence.
  9. Presents insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders to support commercial decision-making.
  10. Utilizes ERP, Power BI, and other tools to generate actionable insights and monitor brand performance.
  11. Conducts market analyses using SWOT, PESTLE and competitor frameworks to identify opportunities, risks and emerging trends.
  12. Recommends strategic improvements to brand execution, portfolio mix and market responsiveness.

Position Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, International Business, or related field (A Master’s degree would be considered an asset).
  • 3-5 years’ experience in trade/export marketing, brand management, or FMCG market development.
  • Proven experience managing distributor and principal relationships across multiple markets.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Power BI, Excel, SharePoint and related tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and team leadership abilities.
  • Conversational French an asset.
