To drive sales growth through developing and implementing a number of key project areas as it pertains to Retail operations (physical and virtual), Digital strategy, and expansion of the Manufactured portfolio for paper-based packaging.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Retail Operation

  • Develop and implement strategy for retail, digital and diversification
  • Establish retail operation in accordance with approved business plan
  • Source/Procure portfolio or environmentally friendly packaging and related products
  • Provide training to retail employees so as to develop their skills and enhance their job performance so they meet or exceed set objectives.
  • Assist with the recruitment process
  • Provide solutions that address performance issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Monitor the customer service of retail/digital operation to ensure a satisfied clientele
  • Create/Design a store layout with suitable décor in support of intended environment
  • Develop and execute sales & merchandising plans of products sold in retail/digital outlet
  • Establish and market E-Commerce platform and B2B strategy to support Sales plan
  • Set and regulate product pricing using results of market and demand analysis
  • Monitor inventory levels to determine the need for stock supply at outlet
  • Work with Finishing Team to ensure service/quality delivery to meet customer requirements
  • Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with customers
  • Evaluate operational and financial records to determine performance of outlet
  • Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
  • Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
  • Maintain the stability and reputation of the outlet by complying with legal requirements
  • Ensure compliance with health/safety policies and procedures
  • Listen to customer complaints to address & resolve their issues.

2. Digital  Strategy

  • To gain insight and knowledge of Digital as relates to Paper Based Materials. Venture into new market space with digital printing on paper-based substrates. Examples are POP supermarket displays; Graphic display boards, on demand Retail Products such as Party boxes, Archways, Stock boxes and sheets.

3. Expansion of Portfolio for paper based packaging 

  • Introduce a range of paper-based packaging, focusing on protecting the environment though recyclable, biodegradable and combustible material. The model will allow us to assess the market for paper-based packaging, and in time we can make informed decisions about backward integration into manufacturing where gross profit opportunities are sizeable. Primary focus to be given to Consumer Packaging in the Retail & Food Service Sectors. Examples are utility trays, food trays, bowls cups, clamshells, supermarket food trays, plates and coffee cup lids.
4.  Other responsibilities of the position;
  • Conduct market research to establish the demand for Consumer Packaging products for the Retail & Food Service Sectors
  • Assess trends toward these new packaging items as Styrofoam and Plastic replacements
  • Consider different material types such as paper based, plant based and other materials
  • List pros vs cons for varying options
  • To create new enquiries for samples, print layouts, quotations: and learn process through to customer approval and creation of new jobs inclusive of pre-press requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business management, business studies or in a similar field
  • Experience in retail sales and customer service is also required for this position

  • Able to coordinate sales operations.
  • Must be customer focused and also strong in establishing Partner Relationships
  • Must be able to assess market knowledge

Accounting Skills

  • Well versed in reviewing and evaluating sales records and financial statements
  • Results driven with strength in management proficiency and strategic planning

Communication Skills

  • Proficient interacting with Directors, Suppliers, Customers, Employees and Stakeholders

Technical Skills

  • Knowledgeable and capable of liaising with Developers of ICT and Marketing platforms
