MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Core Responsibilities

• Assist with routine and preventative maintenance programs of refrigeration systems to prevent downtime.
• Conduct daily plant checks - inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Maintain data log in CMMS.
• Assist with installation of machinery and equipment, including forklifts.
• Assist with any maintenance projects.
• Assist with any general maintenance at the facility.
• Assist with monitoring safety practices and good housekeeping.

Knowledge and Skills

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Competence in Project Management or computerized maintenance system would be an asset.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suites.
• Knowledge of commercial cold rooms and industrial air conditioning systems.
• Knowledge of electrical control systems PLC trouble shooting.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity.

Flexible to shifts, weekends, holidays and on call 24 hours
