MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting preventative maintenance, repairs and upkeeping the overall reliability of the production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Trinrico’s Manufacturing Equipment
• Perform Breakdown type repairs- bearings, rollers, replacement of various parts and assemblies
• Troubleshooting of a range of issues of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical natures
• Perform Preventative Maintenance
• Ensure Equipment reliability by performing quality repair work and attention to detail
• Order parts for Mechanical & Electrical Departments

Qualification and Skill Requirements

• No less than 5 Years experience as a maintenance Technician in a manufacturing setting
• Certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, MET or EET.
• Any relevant training or certification in Machine Maintenance and repairs will be an asset.
• Excellent Mechanical Aptitude
• Ability to Trouble shoot and repair mechanical problems.
• Ability to Troubleshoot and perform repairs on Pneumatic and hydraulic systems ie Pumps, actuators, Valves, motors, Compressors etc.
• Ability to trouble shoot and perform repairs on rotating equipment – Gear boxes, couplings, motor and shaft alignment, conveyors, bending units, cutting/shear units  etc.
• Proven experience performing repairs and Preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Good understanding of proper maintenance practices.
• Familiar with precision measurements, shaft and bearing sizes, clearance and surface tolerances.
• Ability to assess wear parts and operations while performing Preventative Maintenance
• Ability to read and understand Equipment manuals, drawings and schematics.
• Good understanding of electrical components and power systems -110V, 220V, 440V, 24V DC controls systems
• Willing to work on shift rotation.
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work extended hours.
