MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

Role Summary

​The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for assisting with routine and preventive maintenance, and safety of the facility and equipment. This role includes handling emergency repairs and general facility upkeep. The candidate must become a proactive problem-solver who can work  with minimal no supervision and as part of a team.

​Key Responsibilities

• ​Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and service on [HVAC systems / production machinery / plumbing / electrical].
• ​Reactive Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• ​Facility Upkeep: Handle general repairs including basic carpentry, basic painting, basic masonry as needed electrical and  HVAC.
• ​Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all work performed.
• ​Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA standards and internal safety protocols (Lockout/Tagout, etc.).

​ Required Qualifications

• ​Experience: 3–5 years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance and repair on  HVAC and electrical systems.
• EXSPOSURE: Hydraulics, PLC, Electrical systems up to 480V].
• ​Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. climb ladders, work in confined spaces or at heights and temperatures below 0
• ​Availability: Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency repairs.
