MAINTAINANCE TECHNICIAN

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a versatile professional capable of handling various maintenance tasks including electrical, electronics, plumbing, and general repairs. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual who takes pride in maintaining facilities to the highest standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Electrical & Electronics:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot electronic devices and control systems
  • Install and maintain lighting fixtures, outlets, and switches
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems
  • Test and replace faulty electrical component
  • Repair leaking pipes, faucets, and fixtures
  • Clear blocked drains and toilets
  • Replace worn washers, valves, and seals
  • Maintain water heaters and pumps
  • Perform basic installation of plumbing fixtures
  • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
  • Perform minor carpentry repairs (doors, windows, furniture)
  • Maintain and repair appliances
  • Service air conditioning units 
  • Perform groundskeeping and landscaping duties as required
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly
  • Maintain maintenance logs and equipment records
  • Report major repair needs to management
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies
  • Coordinate with external contractors when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • HEART/NCTVET Certificate in Electrical Installation, Electronics, or related field
    OR
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in maintenance field with demonstrated competence
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
  • Basic plumbing skills

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Multimeter and electrical testing equipment usage
  • Basic equipment diagnostics skills
  • Understanding of safety protocols and procedures
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible and willing to learn
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
