Our company operating in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, is seeking dedicated and experienced Loss Prevention Officer for our Security Department.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Receive Pick Ticket to determine the route assigned
  • Confirm timeline for completion of checking process with supervisor, based on size and complexity of delivery
  • Compare Pick List with products prepared for loading to ensure that the product type, quantities and condition meet the required standards
  • Report to the supervisor, discrepancies in quantity, quality, or description for each load
  • Examine loads for expired or close-dated products
  • Liaise with Checkers, for verification of inventory, if discrepancies are identified
  • Support the Loss Prevention Supervisor in conducting internal investigation regarding differences in inventory picked and pick ticket.
  • Pay keen attention to products picked for delivery and monitor dock area for all suspicious behavior from employees, customers, delivery contractors and associates
  • Monitor checked loads on docks and loading of trucks to maintain integrity of shipments
  • Submit pick ticket to the supervisor for verification of items checked on the assigned list
  • File pick tickets for reference based on agreed standards
  • Communicate any challenges encountered while completing tasks immediately to supervisor
  • Assist section manager/supervisor in investigating and reporting accidents/incidents
  • Monitor and instruct staff in the adherence to safety rules
  • Ensure compliance with company's safety policies and procedures
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
 
     
 

 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Five (5) CXC subjects including English Language, Mathematics/Accounts
  • Training in basic security awareness and regulatory compliance
  • Training/Certification in forklift operations desirable, but not compulsory
  • Minimum one year’s experience in a similar position
  • Good customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Team orientation
  • Capable of lifting and stacking products
  • Computer Literacy
