Job Overview:

A dynamic and fast-paced distribution company is seeking a Logistics and Procurement Specialist to lead the coordination of procurement, inventory, and shipping processes. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless flow of goods across the supply chain, with a strong focus on forecasting, cost management, and supplier relationship building. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in procurement and logistics, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to drive improvements across procurement and inventory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast demand and plan purchasing needs using sales data and market trends.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to anticipate promotional and seasonal demand.
  • Identify and assess suppliers for quality, pricing, and delivery performance.
  • Lead contract negotiations and build long-term supplier relationships.
  • Develop and maintain supplier risk and contingency plans.
  • Process and monitor purchase orders from initiation to delivery.
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained through regular audits and planning.
  • Coordinate international and domestic logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Liaise with customs brokers and shipping providers to avoid clearance delays.
  • Track key metrics and provide regular reports on purchasing, inventory, and supplier performance.
  • Use tools such as Excel and Power BI to drive data-based decisions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a similar role within distribution, retail, or FMCG.
  • Advanced Excel skills: experience with Power BI or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with customs procedures and international trade compliance.
