Objectives of this Role

Operations

  • Assist Manager in day-to-day coordination and management of business logistics and operational activities.
  • Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
  • Monitor inventory levels and create schedules to ensure on-time delivery to customers
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships through regular meetings and communications.
  • Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures.
  • Evaluate current operational performance and provide a strategic plan for improvements.
  • Create and maintain clear and accurate operations documents/procedures for reference purposes.
  • Export documentation for shipping, work orders, and purchase orders
  • Assist Managers in day-to-day coordination and management of business operational activities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and create manufacturing schedule to ensure on-time delivery of product to customers
  • Identify problems in the operations process and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Log and coordinate pickup and deliveries for ocean and air import shipments
  • Inspect and log daily cargo receiving
  • Coordinate with vendors and schedule deliveries via phone and email
  • Generate weekly Sales & Operations reports

 

General Job Requirements

  • Facilitates interconnection feedback from customers and employees to management
  • Work with the manager to learn departmental needs and goals
  • Ensure that all business complies with regional, federal, industry and company standards
  • Analyzing processes to identify inefficiencies and advise on possible improvements
  • Identify and resolve any problems in the production process
  • Maintaining clear operational guides to ensure consistency of operations
  • Deliver reports to department head to provide insight into the overall efficiency of the organization

 

Skills and Education

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Detail oriented and ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Logistics and warehouse experience would be an asset
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Bsc or BA in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or a related field
