Unicomer (Barbados) Ltd. is seeking a self-motivated, goal-oriented team player with a strong work ethic to join our team in the role of Logistics Supervisor.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for warehouse operations, by identifying opportunities to improve logistics processes and efficiency.

• Support the Assistant Logistics Manager in coaching, mentoring and disciplining employees and contractor staff in line with organizational goals.

• Work with the Assistant Logistics Manager in effectively managing the department’s expenses within budget.

• Communicate effectively with logistics and warehouse pickers and clerks to ensure timely order fulfilment and accurate loading of delivery vehicles.

• Coordinate with internal and external transportation providers (i.e. truck drivers, delivery companies, etc.) to schedule pickups and deliveries.

• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customer queries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and maintaining strict house-keeping standards.

• Assist in the scheduled yearly stock counts and perform cycle counts as required.

• Maintain stock integrity by ensuring established procedures are followed.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, enterprise logistics software, order management/tracking software, and other relevant operational systems.

• Expert knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• A diploma, Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related discipline from an accredited institution.

• No less than 2 years’ experience in warehouse management, logistics, retail operations, last mile delivery operations or dispatching; preferably in the retail, furniture, appliance, or electronics industry.

• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and distribution processes and procedures.
