Logistics Officer ( Import/Export)

We are seeking a dynamic talent who will coordinate, monitor, and execute all import and export logistics activities to ensure efficient, compliant, and timely movement of goods.

Job Title: Logistics Officer ( Import/Export)

Qualifications and Experience:

• First Degree in Management Studies or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a position in a manufacturing environment.

 Required Skills and Specialised Techniques:

• Understanding of international shipping incoterms, customs regulations, and logistics processes and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

CoreResponsibilities

Export Duties

1. Prepare export order confirmation form in a timely and accurate manner, to reflect actual ordered and loaded for customers.
2. Updating and submitting export orders for production planning.
3. Organise booking and delivery of all export containers
4. Process summary report for the export markets reflecting volume forecasts based on orders projected, received or delivered. 
5. Finalizing customer orders and issuing documents to customers within the agreed timelines.

Import Duties

1. Request the relevant import permits from various government agencies in a timely manner.
2. Co-ordinates importation of finished products as well as raw and packaging material; which shall include:Preparation of freight/duty, import permits, haulage and custom brokers payments.
