The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the Company’s entire supply chain operations, with a focus on procurement, inventory management, customs procedures, and the end-to-end process of importing and exporting goods.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement and Inventory Management:

  • Develop and execute effective procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Monitor inventory levels using ODOO’s recommendations, historical usage, and projected sales to optimize stock levels and prevent shortages or excesses.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Production, and other departments to align supply with operational needs.

2. Import and Customs Management:

  • Manage all aspects of the import process for incoming container shipments, ensuring compliance with all national and international customs regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation, submission, and processing of all required import documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, customs declarations).
  • Liaise with customs, government agencies, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth and timely clearance of goods.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in customs laws, tariffs, duties, and trade agreements.

3. Export and Shipping Documentation:

  • Manage the full cycle of the export process for outgoing container shipments.
  • Ensure all exporting documents are accurately prepared, including export declarations, shipping instructions, certificates of origin, and departure notices.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external logistics partners to schedule container pickups, loading, and vessel/flight bookings.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and provide updates to stakeholders.

4. Team and Process Management:

  • Lead and supervise the logistics and customs team, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for logistics and customs to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations (e.g., freight cost, lead time, customs clearance time) and implement improvements as needed.
  • Manage and resolve any issues that arise during the shipping, customs, or delivery process.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 Years experiece on a simmiliar position

Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs compliance requirements.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (ODOO).
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
