Logistics Manager

We are looking for a reliable Administrative Assistant to manage the day-to-day administrative aspects of our business.

We are looking for a high-caliber Logistics Manager with a minimum of 8 years of experience to direct our logistics, fleet, and distribution operations. This is not an entry-level role; it requires a leader who has successfully managed logistics for a large-scale enterprise with over 60 locations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing our supply chain, managing a large fleet, ensuring on-time delivery to all branches, and driving cost efficiencies without compromising service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Network Management: Oversee the end-to-end supply chain and distribution strategy for a network of 60+ locations island-wide.

• Fleet Operations: Manage the company’s extensive fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal routing, maintenance schedules, and fuel efficiency.

• Inventory Distribution: Coordinate the timely and accurate distribution of stock from central warehouses to all retail/branch locations to prevent stockouts.

• Process Optimization: Analyze logistical problems and produce new solutions to create a more cost-effective and efficient workflow.

• Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage the logistics budget, negotiating with suppliers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to reduce operational costs.

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a large team of logistics coordinators, warehouse managers, drivers, and support staff.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations adhere to Jamaican transport laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. (A Master’s Degree is preferred).

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management.

• Mandatory proven experience managing logistics for a large company with a multi-site network (60+ locations).

• Demonstrated expertise in fleet management software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

• Strong analytical mind with the ability to interpret complex data and implement strategic changes.

• Excellent crisis management skills and the ability to work under high pressure.

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams across different parishes.
