We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and manage the full spectrum of our customs brokerage and warehouse operations. This dual-function role requires a dynamic leader with deep knowledge of customs regulations and exceptional logistical oversight. Must be efficient and compliant processing of import and export shipments while simultaneously managing the day-to-day warehouse activities to support timely and accurate cargo movement.

This position plays a key role in aligning customs procedures with warehousing functions, leading a diverse team including customs clerks, office staff, forklift operators, and warehouse personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Customs Brokerage Functions:

• Oversee the customs brokerage department, ensuring compliance with all local and international customs laws and regulations.
• Facilitate the timely clearance of all import and export cargo.
• Review and validate documentation such as invoices, bills of lading, permits, and classification codes.
• Coordinate and lead a team of customs clerks and support staff; provide training and guidance on customs procedures and changes in regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong working relationships with customs officials, regulatory bodies, and logistics partners.
• Address and resolve any customs-related delays or issues effectively and efficiently.
• Build and sustain effective working relationships with Customs and Excise officials to facilitate efficient communication and smooth operational coordination.

Warehouse Management Functions:

• Direct all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of goods.
• Supervise daily functions of office staff, forklift drivers, stackers, and loading/unloading crews.
• Ensure accurate and efficient staging of customer deliveries and outbound shipments.
• Enforce adherence to company SOPs and safety standards across the warehouse.
• Collaborate closely with customs personnel and freight agents to ensure synchronization between warehousing and customs clearance.
• Analyse operational performance and implement improvements to optimize space utilization, workflow, and staff productivity.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in customs brokerage and/or warehouse management, preferably in a logistics or bonded warehouse environment.
• Certification or training in customs compliance, logistics, or supply chain management is a strong asset.
• Sound knowledge of local customs regulations and international shipping protocols.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with warehouse or freight management systems is an advantage.
