The Agent - Loan Verification & Funding Specialist is responsible for performing accurate verifications, credit investigation, analysis, and audit of all documentation required to complete the retail funding processes, according to the company's operating policies and procedures.

Role Overview:
As a Loan Verification & Funding Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in helping potential members move forward in their financial journey. You’ll review loan applications, verify critical details, and ensure compliance and accuracy in every step of the funding process. This position involves voice and non-voice interactions with direct consumers—primarily via email and some outbound phone communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Review loan applications to verify employment, income, identity, and ability to repay.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality while managing a large volume of loan applications.
- Conduct outbound calls to potential members to gather missing information, verify documents, or build a credit profile.
- Handle inbound emails and calls from potential members regarding their applications.
- Identify and flag altered or suspicious documents in the loan file.
- Complete final credit decisions for manual reviews following set policies and procedures.
- Ensure a positive and professional experience for members throughout the loan verification process.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in loan processing, consumer lending, or personal banking.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, income documentation, and credit processes.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication, typing, and writing skills—able to clearly articulate financial information via phone and email.
- Highly detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and deliver a high-quality customer experience.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Goal-oriented and thrives in high-performance team environments.
- Education: 3 CXC passes inclusive of English A
