Loader/General Labourer

The Loader/General Labourer collaborates with internal stakeholders to physically pick customer orders as per a computer-generated listing and batch, according to geographical area, for the same day or next day’s delivery ensuring the integrity and accuracy of picks.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurate picking, safe handling and packing of requested products from the assigned Warehouse
• Efficient and safe offloading of cargo containers and loading of vehicles per Company policy
• Movement and transfer of goods, assets, and inventory within the assigned Warehouse
• Reading, assembling and submission of control documentation
• Checking damaged goods to determine the extent of damage and reporting to Management
• Participate in stock counts of goods, products, assets, material etc. in assigned areas (Warehouses, Cold Storage, Trucks Vans, etc), as needed.
• Providing physical assistance as required for the operation of the Warehouse
• Notifying Management immediately of any variances, shortages, discrepancies etc.
• Ensuring housekeeping standards are upheld
• Complying with all Company, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) qualities and food safety standards

 Position Requirements:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a Warehousing environment
• Minimum of 3 CSEC/’O’ Level Passes or a combination of training and experience
• Availability to work flexible hours 

Must possess:

• Manual dexterity and able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to work in a Warehouse environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills
• Good numerical skills
• Must be a team player
