Litigation Paralegal — Stanbrook Prudhoe, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands

Full-Time | On-Site or Remote

About Stanbrook Prudhoe

Stanbrook Prudhoe is an ambitious, independent law firm specialising in complex and cross-border disputes and advisory work across the Pan-Caribbean region. From our offices in the Turks and Caicos Islands, the Cayman Islands, and Guyana, we serve clients throughout 15 Caribbean jurisdictions, working closely with leading onshore counsel in London, New York, and other major legal centres. We are not a branch office of a larger network — we are a modern, purposeful practice founded on the conviction that offshore clients deserve onshore-calibre service.

Our practice spans complex commercial litigation, corporate and fiduciary work, real estate development, restructuring and insolvency, and company management. Clients and referring partners consistently choose Stanbrook Prudhoe for our responsiveness, transparency on costs, deep local knowledge, and the high standards expected of leading international firms.

The Role

We are looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Providenciales. This is a full-time position either based at our main office at Third Floor, Graceway House, Graceway Plaza, Turks and Caicos or potentially remote provided it is from a jurisdiction in the same or similar time zone.

The Litigation Paralegal provides essential procedural, organisational, and administrative support that enables our lawyers to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient legal services. The role is central to the smooth running of the firm's litigation practice and to maintaining the firm's standards of professionalism, reliability, and service.

You will work primarily with the litigation team, with occasional support to our corporate and commercial practice, across the TCI and the wider Caribbean. You will operate within defined authority limits and be expected to recognise when issues require escalation to a supervising lawyer.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage documents, correspondence, and filings across matters.
  • Prepare and organise bundles, chronologies, indexes, and records.
  • File documents with courts, registries, and regulators in accordance with deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Track deadlines and procedural steps, flagging upcoming requirements in advance.
  • Maintain orderly, accurate, and current matter files.
  • Prepare pleadings and motions, assemble documentary evidence, and prepare trial briefs.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and mediation.
  • Liaise with clients, witnesses, third parties, and experts to gather information, provide updates on case progress, prepare clients and witnesses for appearance in court, and arrange for service of documents.
  • Liaise with courts, registries, process servers, and service providers as instructed.
  • Onboard new clients and manage the opening and closing of files.
  • Draft legal correspondence and perform general office and clerical duties.
  • Assist attorneys with document review, formatting, and proofing.
  • Apply firm systems, templates, and procedures consistently.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards at all times.
  • Anticipate routine procedural needs to support efficient matter progression.

What This Role Is Not

To ensure transparency from the outset, this role does not include providing legal advice or exercising independent legal judgment, communicating substantive legal positions without instruction, or performing duties that are a substitute for lawyer supervision or decision-making. It is not a general administrative role without legal context, and it is not exempt from the firm's professional, confidentiality, or behavioural standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Completion of post-secondary education focused on paralegal or legal services, and/or 2+ years of work experience as a paralegal, legal clerk, or legal assistant.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and organised case files and documentation.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work independently under supervision from attorneys, and as part of a team.
  • High standards of accuracy, reliability, and organisational discipline.
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality and discretion in all interactions and information handling.
  • Basic proficiency in office software and tools, including MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Eastern Caribbean Court Rules and/or UK Civil Procedure Rules is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a litigation support or legal environment is desirable.

How You Will Be Measured

Your effectiveness in this role will be assessed against the following key performance indicators:

  • Accuracy and reliability demonstrated through correct filings and complete records.
  • Timeliness shown by meeting deadlines and proactive deadline tracking.
  • Organisation and efficiency evidenced by orderly files and reduced rework.
  • Confidentiality and discretion maintained in all interactions and information handling.
  • Support to legal teams measured by anticipation of routine needs and smooth procedural coordination.

Why Stanbrook Prudhoe?

At Stanbrook Prudhoe, every member of the team — whether a lawyer, a paralegal, or part of our business services team — is valued and empowered to contribute. We offer a collaborative, non-siloed working environment, professional development opportunities, and the chance to be part of a firm that is building something distinctive in the Caribbean legal market.
